Xinbeitou (新北投) as New Beitou, is located in North Taipei, Taiwan. We can take a Tamsui Line Subway and transit in Beitou Station and get off in Xinbeitou Station (新北投站). Xinbeitou’s train has a unique interior designs like we are in Hot Spring and Jungle.  From subway station, we can just walk to :

– Taipei Public Library (walk 255 meters)

It opens for public. We can read books and enjoy your time in this library.

– Beitou Hot Spring Museum (walk 305 meters)

The admission is free. I like the view. The museum was designed by Japan. Many buildings around here is from Japan’s heritage. Before we entered the museum, we were required to take off our shoes and changed to the slippers provided. This is to prevent scratches/damages to the museum’s wooden floor.

– Hot Spring Valley (walk 805 meters)

Geothermal Valley are sulphurous and extremely corrosive. It’s like fairy land but beware!

This is a very good place to learn about Beitou’s rich hot spring culture and history. The good news : There’s no admission fee during this journey, beside the entrance fee for public hot spring (40 NT per person).
